Solar system for the hotel “Sonnenschein”

Sustainability meets comfort – solar energy for the Hotel Sonnenschein.
Project Overview
The Hotel "Sonnenschein," a family-run business surrounded by nature, decided to make its energy supply sustainable. SolarLum installed a custom-designed photovoltaic system to reduce energy costs while protecting the environment. The system now supplies electricity to a large portion of the hotel and helps significantly reduce CO₂ emissions.
Project Goal & Challenge
Goal:
The hotel wanted to reduce its dependence on expensive grid power while promoting an environmentally conscious image. The goal was to integrate the photovoltaic system in such a way that it could cover maximum energy demand during the day without compromising guest comfort.
Challenge:
The challenge was to integrate the solar system into the historic building without compromising the aesthetic appearance of the roof. Furthermore, the installation had to be carried out during ongoing hotel operations, which required precise and rapid implementation.
Our Solution
Customized Planning for Maximum Efficiency
SolarLum utilized modern, high-performance solar modules and elegantly integrated them into the hotel's roof structure. The system utilized discreet yet powerful mounting systems that avoid visual disruption. A high-performance energy storage system allows the hotel to benefit from its own solar power even at night and during periods of inclement weather.
Results
• Energy savings: 45% of annual electricity costs saved
• CO₂ savings: 90 tons of CO₂ per year
• Financial benefits: Rapid payback within 8 years
• Sustainability: Reducing environmental impact and promoting the hotel's green image
